Through demonstration, analysis, and exercises, you’ll learn important strategies for lyric interpretation and communication that will take your songs to a new level!

This is by far my favourite lesson so far, thank you Charmaine. I feel so energised by this, the Holy Spirit moving through the whole lesson. A new perspective for my singing and songwriting which I really needed to hear. My old worship leader always used to say we are not performing Christian karaoke. What a privilege to be a vessel for the splendour of God and be given a voice to express it. So glad God bought me to you. J

This is such a great lesson. Make the words sound like what they mean. Really…you are teaching us how to meditate on the Lord in a musical way. I so love this. Something I love to do is to pray through the lyrics…connect with the Lord through them…it changes me and the way I sing.

This lesson! It’s what my heart needed. From the Brene Brown quote about building smallness into our lives, to your ending thoughts about the things that are holding us back the most are our thoughts – all of it is where I am right now. Thank you for creating space to allow the Holy Spirit to do some heart work. And for the declarations at the end. I’m going to add them to my vocal exercise routine. Oh, and thank you for the word imagery about putting our signature on our art. *Takes a deep breath in and blows it out.* I’m ready to put my signature on the songs I’m so privileged to sing.

What if it doesn’t work? Do it any way? What if it still doesn’t work? This is where my mind wants to stay, and I have to fight every time I come to the declaration to say them. Hopefully, my heart will win out, because my heart desires to worship even when my mind would rather run. Thank you for helping me feel the permission to be okay in the imperfect present, and encouraging me to trust the Maker who loves to create beauty from mere dust.
