    1. God Bless you Charmaine, your worship training has been encouraging for someone that decided to start serving God again in this ministry after 17 years away from a worship team and someone that is over 50. It has helped me find where my voice fits in and God will continue to bless you and help me continue to serve him in this way and to also be a vessel for those who need to know God.

Can I drink food temperature water before singing? Does lemon and honey help the voice? What foods and drinks should we avoid?

      1. Wonderful! I’m so glad the worship training has been helpful! Room temperature water is fantastic before and during singing because it doesn’t shock the voice (like cold water tends to!). Lemon and honey (specifically raw, unpasteurized honey) is helpful for many people because it’s soothing for the voice, but make sure it feels good for you before doing it consistently. Herbal tea, vegetables, fruits, unprocessed grains (like rice/quinoa) and nuts/seeds are fantastic for the voice. It’s important to avoid sugar (especially processed, refined sugars) and processed foods. Caffeine tends to dry out the voice so I would recommend not having it right before you sing. Hope that helps!
